Captain’s Log:

Hello there. This is a collection of instrumentals originally created in 2020-21. These tracks did not quite fit in my space rock albums (like Visions of Infinity, several others in the making), more electronic albums (like the first four on Bandcamp and the CDs The Chosen Ones and The Mists of Orion) nor the most experimental albums (A Crack in the Fabric of Reality, Transmissions from Outer Space, okay maybe 1 and 6 would have) or other kind of albums I’m working on (60s psych, Krautrock, prog, pop…). I feel this album is floating there somewhere in between.

Jonathan kindly added some violin and more guitar in July 2021 and Dr. Space did the mastering. Originally this was planned to be released on limited cassette tape on Misophonia but the label sadly decided to close down so the album got cancelled at the last minute. I decided to run an even more limited CD-R edition on my own instead. Have a safe ride.

Astral Magic is a new psychedelic and spacey solo project started in 2020 by ex-Dark Sun bass/Moog player Santtu Laakso.

This particular double album kicks ass and would take a full page but suffice it to say that they are indeed great listeners, know each others strengths and each track here has it's own vibe and direction, only known in the present moment.
